Hey guys so I've been wrking on my newest 83 280zx n/a I've got just about evrerything dialed in. So I was going to do the digi to analog cluster swap cuz I've got the 130mph cluster but I wanted to check it out before I took the dash out and put it all in.

So the analog harness is from an 81 cluster from unknown going into the 83. Plugged in the cluster and and 3a gauge pod. Everything wrked accept the the system check and the orange back lights for the cluster and green for the pod when the lights are turned on . Was going to swap them all out for blue ones but got to get them to light first..

Now I didn't hook up any of the other components in that harness. That wouldn't have any thing to do with the lights would it? Are the lights all chained together as if one bulb is out they all go out??

Any ideas or direction.. on the lights and/or the systems check fixes?? Thanks in advance everyone
P.s systems check in digi is operational.. are the compatible??

 

Plug in all harnesses and see what happens.

 

Haha right right the dimmer switch duhhh lol ..that will take care of the back lights.. that's what I get for trying to think after a long day at wrk huh lol... but will that and the rear wiper, defrost, cruise control, let's what else is in that the front speakers and temp sensor right.. have anything to do with the systems check? As that checks the lights stop lights and water level right or am I wrong I was thinking that it wouldn't cuz its a separate single harness from the systems check in the cluster to the warning control box?
