sounds like a cool idea... I'd be kinda concerned about manufacturing tollerances since I don't think it'd be very good if it did touch the shaft. Its hard to tell from that ebay add if thats something some redneck whipped up in his shop with a jigsaw, or something precisely measured and cut on high quality CNC machines

I myself have never seen that type of product...but the tried and true way to keep your oil put and off your crank is to just go with a no joke REAL windage tray and or an oil pan with trap doors...I can see the thing creating a vortex behind the counter weights each time one of the counter weights passes through it...not sure that is a good thing.

seems that it would be a problem, seeing how it is a restriction to flow as well, and preasure builds up behind a restriction, that is why preasure exist.

if your not going to build some 5 million hp motor, than that is totally not worth it, most of use here dont have one, and our cars run fine, and perform great. lww has raced z's and we should get his opinion, from a racing stand point. i know domestic race engine use these, but only at the super high performance level.
