camshaft journal bolts

camshaft journal bolts
I know the answer to this must be here somewhere and I apologize if not looking hard enough..
I put a rebuilt head on my 83' 280zx non turbo and 4 of the camshaft journal bolt holes on the driver side of the engine are stripped. I only discovered this when doing a final torque on everything.
(I had just transferred my original camshaft and journals to the "new' head.)
I was about to pull everything apart, re-tap the spun holes etc when it occured to me that the journals on that side of the engine are also held in place by the head bolts. I am thinking now that I dont need to do anything, just leave it alone. The head bolts are larger, stronger and torqued to more ft lbs than the journal bolts anyway.
The irony of all this is that the reason I swapped heads to begin with was because of various stripped out and snapped off studs etc on the original one. I was installing a new header at the same time and decided to do this all at once.
Any advice? Thanks.
