Car stops after running for 5 to 10 min

Okay guys this is my first thread so let me tell you guys my problem and hopefully someone can help me out. I have an 83 280zx 2+2 the problem i have is that when i start the car she turns on fine but after like 5 to 10 minutes of running, she starts to die like if shes running out of gas. but i am able to turn her back on if I rev up and go but if i stop she turns off. I have replaced the fuel filter and all fuel lines well the rubber ones in the engine bay. Any have any suggestions as to what else i should check on my vehicle.
<<<< would really appreciate any help

Does the motor sputter or does it just quit?

2 possibilities.

1) fuel injectors, expensive and time consuming r/r
2) fuel pump inlet screen. easy fix just remove the line from the tank to the pump just inside the neck on the pump you will see a screen. it is cone shaped. take a small screwdriver and pry it out making sure not to break it. clean and replace.

also not to likely but check it anyway the magnet pickup inside the distributor sometimes gets cracked and moves out of place this causes erattic and rough engine characteristics. good luck

It sputters for about 10 to 20 seconds at times and just gives out. Im able to get her to turn on again but sputters and dies but if I hit the gas and go shell do fine till i stop again.

Well, I'm gunna tell you how I solved my problem with that...yours may be different.

My ZX had been sitting for about 6 yrs. Same thing: Runs and quit. I tried almost everything, filters, lines, injection cleaners....you name it. I finally dropped the fuel tank, cleaned it out, replaced the fuel filters once more, put $5 of 97 octane in it...and I've pretty much been driving it on a daily basis since.

OKay guys
Ive dumped the gas out of the tank cleaned it and clean out the filter strainer
It wasnt that dirty but figured hey any little thing helps. Also cleaned all the contacts for all my sensors. Also I have cleaned the contacts for the distributor and cleaned all my sparkplugs. And going to see if the problem still persists. Also i was wondering does anyone know where I can get some of the sensor for my car cause autozone said they dont carry any of the sensors. Would appreciate any information.
