clutch pedal
Hi
I have a 1982 Turbo 280ZX. This vehicle has been in storage for over a year, without being driven. It is in an enclosed ventilated area.
The problem is the clutch pedal depresses completely to the floor without releasing the flywheel. The fluid level in the reservoir was very low. I put brake fluid in, but I'm not sure how to bleed this system. Could this be the problem, or is the flywheel stuck.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

you gotta bleed your clutch system.. also check to see if you dont have any leaks.. it shouldnt lose pressure like that even if the cars been sitting for a year or so.. your gonna have to get a buddy to help you out bleed your clutch.. one under the car to open and close the bleeder valve and the other pumping the clutch pedal

the best way to bleed the clutch is to crawl under the car and release the nipple next to the hydralic line, just a little. then let it drip with the lid off the resevior. Keep the fluid level up. do this for about 5 minutes and then close the nipple. That should bleed it. If the pedal is still stuck you have other issues.

clutch pedal repaired
Thanks guys
Sometimes I get a brain cramp. I followed the line to the slave cylinder and found a leak at the piston seal. I tried to find a rebuild kit local, but ended up with a new cylinder. Bled the line and now I'm back in business. Thanks for the help.
