Cracked radiator, replace with 2 or 3 lvl?
I found a crack in my radiator and wanted to replace it with an aluminum radiator but I'm trying to decide if I want to get the 2 or 3 level. Has anyone tried both and noticed a considerable difference? Also, are the radiators compatible with a chevy small block(for those of you that have made the swap), or would I need to get a new radiator if I decide to do that? If it is compatible I may as well shell out a bit more $$$ and just buy the 3 level now.
Glad I was able to find a forum so quickly that has some knowledgable posters, just bought my zx on saturday.

I don't know how much heat your planning on throwing at it, but my stock one with a slow leak in the system somewhere, never get's past about 1/4 of the way up the gauge, even when it's a gallon low.(forgot to refill it most of last year) Buying a whole bunch of extra radiator, in aluminum(which transfers heat better than the stock brass ones) may be making your wallet lighter and your car heavier for no good reason.
I believe "Jags That Run" have a conversion kit for chevy v8, and on their page they specify the particular aluminum Camaro radiator that is almost bolt in. Guessing by the pics earlier, that may be what Nismo has...
Nismo, if you had a clear acrylic hood, you couldn't see to drive on a sunny day, the glare would get ya... BRIGHT>>>

The temp gauge should sit right about in the middle... 1/4 up probably means someone took out the thermostat & the motor can't warm up.
PS... that's not my engine bay... it's a pic from the link I posted (AZ ZCAR).

I can fill up the resevoir and in a weeks time pressure will cause that coolant to blow out the cap (cheap cap?). I don't know why but Its not a big deal other then I have a mist of coolant on my windshield. haha I can leave that res empty and it will stay cool (1/4 way most of the time, 1/2 when I'm heading up into the mountains).
