First of all it's going to be a custom swap for sure but it's one of the easier ones. Second of all - an RB20? Why bother? The RB20 doesn't have a lot to offer from it's stock form as it's already close to all it will offer in it's stock form performance wise. If you were going to swap in an RB throw in an RB25... even the L28ET will give you better performance than an RB20....

I'll tell you from experience. I have an RB20 in my 83, and it all depends on what you want out of it. I was tired of fighting with the worn out N/A that my car came with and needed a little more, but couldn't find a L28ET. Granted the 20 is just a bit more than the L, you can stretch the L alot further. If you do decide to go through with the 20 swap lemme know and I can fill you in on some holes.

... exactly so if you are going to swap something in like NismoPick said unless you got the RB20 for free and your time swaping it in doesn't matter then sure but you're still further behind than putting some effort into an L28ET. If you really want to get serious personally (and as much of a Nissan fanatic as I am I hate to say it but...) I'd go with a 2JZ - stock bottom end is good for 600HP. It's just a fantastic engine and it's a straight six so it suits the S30 and S130. If you go the RB25 or RB26 you're going to spend money again to get it over 300RWHP - probably more than to get the L28ET there so if you're dumping that kind of cash into a system you may as well go all out if you want to go beyond an L28ET setup...
