Just take your car to a muffler shop & tell them you want a performance "non-ricerocket" muffler installed.

Flomaster, borla - on the pricey side or flowpath and some Mac mufflers on the cheaper side...all 4 sound pretty good...supertraps can sound good also though I don't know about prices on them. I would say all would be between $40-$100 for a single muffler...borlas bringing the higher prices. I had a Walker/Dynomax turbo muffler on my V6 1992 Camaro and it sounded fairly deep for a 6cyl and it was like $30 something for it...I would recomend it as it pleased my ears and never rusted on me in the 3+ years I had the car.

I wouldnt bother with that, especially not for $250! At $60 I paid 1/4 of that for my "POS american made" Dynomax muffler that will flow a lot better with its straight through design.

Check out this on ebay:
Dynomax Exhaust

Looks pretty legit and a good price.

I dont even have a muffler or cat on my exhaust, just straight through. I think it sounds better that way...the turbo keeps it quiet. I think you should try it out..

I can see how that would be very miss-leading to the average on-looker.... since they made a lot of Focus' (Or is the plurral "Foci" ?) w/ V8's....

Ignorance is bliss Atleast until you're either stuck with a cheap ebay knock off of the real thing or a very deep hole in your wallet

I've said it once and I'll say it again: Dont buy new car parts off of ebay. If you cant find the exact part for cheaper somewhere else then it's either probably NOT the part you think it is (or atleast not made by who you think it is) or you're just out to find the cheapest part possible. Plenty of internet stores will sell you stuff cheaper then ebay and sometimes even throw in free shipping

In your case Nismo619, if you payed that much + shipping then you payed too much buddy Try shopping around before you buy off of ebay next time. Took me all of 2 minutes to find one for $225 shipped and that was at only one online retailer. I didnt even try shopping around for a cheaper price. Plus you get the peace of mind that you're getting the real deal and dont have to worry about it being a knock off.

I'm not sure if any were produced that way but I KNOW that kits were made for dropping a V8 into a focus:

Sorry.... my sarcasm wasn't very obvious in that post. I just thought it was funny that you said a tiny lil 4cyl car sounds like a V8...

Ick! Hit the brakes too hard & you'll do a nose dive "stoppie" right into the pavement. I'd take a Ford Sierra tho.

What I think is funny is if you wanted a V8 RWD car then why the hell would you buy a Focus in the first place I got mine for economy and the fact that it will hold me, my wife, and my son. My wife has to stay at home when we take the Z
