Fuel injectors rebuild

i need to replace a fuel injector in my car because it is leaking, I was told I could put in rebuild injectors .What does this mean are they taken apart and all the inside replaced or they just replace the rubber hose ? any info will help. I did do the search on the site but nothing came up.

Your search fingers must not be working well.

And there's a ton of results from a Google search:

http://www.witchhunter.com/injectorfaq1.php4#does

http://www.perfectpowerusa.citymax.c...ge/2002517.htm

The list goes on and on. Unless you can find a smokin deal, it will be more worth your time and money to just replace the injector. You can usually find a good complete used set on ebay for $20-$50 for n/a's and $50-$100 for turbos.

hey if you search aruond you'll see a really useful guide on how to rebuild your own fuel injectors. I have done this, and the only ones worth looking at are your number 1 adn 6 injectors, the middle ones are usually fine if they've ever been serviced in the last 15 years. Otherwise just replace the filter, pintle cap, o-rings, hose and clamps and you should be set. I wouldn't recommend doing a servicing ($25 each), considering it's just as expensive to buy new ones off of ebay ($22 each?).
