Gaskets

I am getting a intake to gasket match and blend for a 60mm TB. Which intake manifold gasket should I go with? Can I get away with port matching the head in the car or should I just pull it and deck it and raise the C/R while Im at it? Has anyone cc/ed a 81 zx motor to know how much I can deck off of it?

The factory intake manifold gasket has larger opening than the runners. Port match the head and manifold to the diameter of the gasket. That should work well for you.

You can still get gaskets from Nissan. I got suckered into buying one when the local parts stores didn't have one in stock and the dealer did and I NEEDED it ASAP. I payed a little more for it as a result. As far as whether they're still good, Yes. I used the gasket without any problems what so ever. I ended up having to replace because I tore it while repacing my exhaust manifold. But it gave me no troubles for the year and a half it was on there.
