Head Choices
My friend and I are buildign almost exact engines for our car's. We have three head choices in mind. N42, P79, and P90(Not the A)
These are the mods we are seting up for.
Stage 2 cam(480/274)
Stock Bore Size(although i might have to move up one size do to harsh ring groves in my block)
He is going with a LoneWolf Intake
I am useing his old N42 intake
MSD Ignition
MSA 3-2-1 Header
Good o'l 240SX T/B
Now for the heads. The N42 was made for Dished, So puting it on will raise Comp. But that is what we want to do. The P79 and P90 flow better. But porting and polish of the N42 will make up for that. The P90 has the Square ports, and from what i read. there better then the Dimond P79. Were looking for 9:1:0 or higher Comps.
So. What head would you use?

Just do like shady and mill your that p79 and you could get your car up to 10. I used a n47 with flat top pistons raised my compression. or like you said even the n42 would flow if u port it and everything. sounds like you got a project going.

Two projects. My 83. and my friends 76. Mine will be a nice DD. with clean inter. his will be more for weekends. We are looking to stay away from shaving right now. cause the problem with getting Shims for the diff in chain slack. The only diff between our engines is gona be the intake manifolds. and paint jobs,
