head gasket question

guess what? its another question any of you guys know if there are steel multilayerd head gaskets and how much they run? what are you guys running as far as gaskets go. It'll be for a 82 turbo 280zx. Thanks.

Yep... I got one on my L28ET. MSA sells 1mm & 2mm HKS MLS (multi-layer steel) headgaskets. They are about $150.

check HKS directly and see if there is another re-seller. They used to be listed at $100 from a HKS catalog I saw online.
(dont' quote me on that)

I'm running the OEM gasket... as in, the one that Nissan put in at the factory in 1979!!!

It's still kind anew though... only 250,000 miles.!!!

well i checked the online catalog and it said for teh 350Z only so i guess not.

Which do you think would hold more pressure? ... Thas why. The MLS will withstand more heat & pressure than a standard hg. This is a pic of my headgaskets:

no i mean i checked the HKS online catalog and the mls hg's were only for teh 350Z the one nismopick posted is the one im probably going to get it from.
