On our cars it was also on a sticker inside the glove box...
Unfortunately, that adhesive dried out and most of the stickers have been lost or trashed over the years.
If you don't have an original key to get the code from, you'll most likely be stuck with having a lock smith come out and make you a new key. $$$
If you can afford it, because the tumblers on these things are so worn out, I would recommend getting your whole lock set re-set and re-keyed.

i got fed up with the key, wehn i could start the car with a couple of toothpicks, i put in a couple kill switches, and put a starter button in the A/C vent, so all i have to do is pull the vent cover off and push down, i dont think anyone will look for a pushbuton switch in the A/C vent.

That's the best way to get a good price. You can also get everything re-keyed to the same key. Just remember to take the glove box lock with you too!! Hahaha! Don't ask me how I stumbled across that one!
