Ignition module

Ignition module
I was driving and my car suddenly stalled and gas would do nothing. the engine will crank infinitely but never turn over and start.
I've determined that it's not fuel pressure, and a friend suggested that it was my ignition coil, and I've heard they go bad frequently. I've sourced another one, but in case that's not it, what else does this sound like?

If the car wont start, it is either air, spark, or fuel. Since you determined it's not fuel and it likely isn't air it has to be spark. Have you tested the spark plugs to see if they're working? The wires? etc.
If it is shutting off after it warms up it is likely the Ignition Control Module.

Oh shoot! that's what I meant instead of ignition coil. I meant to say Ignition MODULE. like I said I've already sourced another one. it's not new, so I 'd like to know what else I can do/ if it might be something else wrong with my car.
I'll check for spark tomorrow.

aye aye aye... instead of replacing parts at random, why not do some trouble shooting first (PimpShrimp has said that 3 times now)? Have you even checked the fusible links? Power to the ecu? Power to the coil / ICM?

If you don't have a multi meter go buy one. It's about as basic/necessary of a tool as a screw driver if you have anything electrical to work on. Check voltages to make sure the electrons are getting to where they need to be. Once you find the part/wire/connector that the electrons go into and don't come out the other side replace that part

alright thanks, all.
Nismo, you're right. I'm going to begin troubleshooting...
but, I've now wired up the GM HEI and still no spark at all. I've even held a bare plug wire and experienced no zapping...
so, if it's not producing spark AFTER the dizzy, I should check before it, right?
I've checked for spark on the principal wire from the ignition coil and no spark there either... about to pull out my multimeter though.
Keep it coming with the list of things to check with my multimeter...

RAGHH. this is driving me crazy.
I tested resistance on my Ig. coil and i'm getting zero on the inner coil. I replaced it with an MSD blaster 2 (which registers resistance on both inner and outer coils) and still NO spark.
with both ig. coils, I've tried connecting the (-) end to a test lead and ground and touching the main spark plug close to another ground with the ignition key in and on.... still no spark.
forgive my dumb questions, but I seriously need a crash course in Multimeter usage.
If you have any advice for testing if certain parts are getting voltage, please include what setting I should turn the multimeter to.
Thanks, people.
this sucks.....

UPDATE:
all fusible links are passing 12v fine.
I'm getting 12v to all parts of the ICM and coil when key is on.
no LED on the ECU though... I thought that was only supposed to turn on after the car was warmed up though...
the LED is not on.

If I wire everything like skittle did here:

Should this module work for my N/A??
