injector problems

So I replaced the battery on my Z and what happened after that just makes me look like even more of an idiot than I already feel. Basically, I shorted the fusible link that goes to the injectors. But before I noticed it I tried to start the car. When it didn't work I inspected and "fixed" the link but now it still won't start. It turns over but that's it and there is fuel slowly dripping from the third and fifth injectors at the injector gasket (I think). They stopped leaking when I depressurized the fuel system and started again under pressure.

I'm thinking that when I tried to start the car the first time with the fusible link melted, the injectors weren't firing which caused a buildup of pressure in the fuel rail. I think this pressure blew the gaskets on said injectors and is the reason it won't start and that it is still leaking. If this is true all I need to do is take off the fuel injection system and replace old parts, right?

I've never encountered a problem like this so any feedback regarding my situation would be VERY welcome.

P.S. I couldn't find a matching fusible link at autozone or any other vender so I "fixed" the fusible link by salvaging the female connectors and using a new wire. Will this hold until I can get to a salvage yard and pull one of theirs?
