Injector replacement?

I am getting ready to order a fuel rail from JSK and want to put new injectors in. Is there any other injectors that will work in a NON-Turbo besides the factory ones. I am trying to go to a better fuel setup on my 81 280zx.

I don't think you need larger injectors. The stock computer does not work well at all with any different injectors sizes. If you want more power for a highly modified non-turbo then buy a good fuel pressure regulator that will raise pressure at high rpm (low vaccume) a little more than stock. That'll give the extra fuel you need to work with your big cam and ported head.

NO NO NO I'm not looking for more power, I'm looking for a cheap way out to get 6 new injectors. You know like get them off a newer model car in a salvage yard. I just don't want to spend$350. for new injectors.

...and you don't want to buy used one's from a 280Z or 280ZX because they are 25+ years old already?

I think I remember hearing that the Z31 had the same injectors as a 280ZX. So maybe you can find a 1988-89 300ZX. Thats fairly new but it'll be very hard to get at those injectors... nothing quite like a straight six!

Yeah I got some! I found out that the Z31 84-86 had the same style! The 88-89 had the new style. My cousin has a set on his motor we just replace that I can get from him to put on my car Talk about getting lucky!

You can get your current injectors rebuilt for like $15 a piece.

There are several websites that you could find that are injector rebuilders. Here is one I found but you could always shop around. http://witchhunter.com/injectorfaq1.htm

The NAPA Store that I deal with at my shop all the time has all the stuff on hand to rebuild injectors... and more importantly, a guy who knows how to do it. They rebuilt mine about a year ago and it made a hugely noticeable difference in how my car ran. I think they're retail price for the service is about 15 bucks each. It's the way to go...
