Interesting Tech Question
alright, the problem is about a week ago, i started to notice my car was chugging in 5th gear at about 75, but it would do it only when i would try to accelerate, and also a key thing, would be that it happened whenever i had positive boost on my turbo, and last night i had about enough of it cuz i was lost in hollywood, and it started doing it again, so i just pushed the pedal down to the floor, and i heard a pop, after i heard the pop, it ran just great, no more chugging, at least not yet...any ideas??

I had a fouled spark plug that "cleaned itself" on my Z once - it 'chugged' like you explained, until I revved the **** out of it. It backfired [plug lighting all that gas in the chamber], and ran like she should.
I don't know if that's the case with your Z, because I've never heard of this happen before. But you never know, it could be a fluke happening like with mine.
Best of luck, hope it doesn't come back anytime soon.

yea, actually thats a pretty good thought, i didnt think about that one, i hope that might be all it was, my dad said it might be the cat converter?? any possibility there, except the backfire didnt sound like it was in the rear, sounded like it was in the front

There is a possibility your cat can cause a backfire, usually it's when a seam, weld, or flange starts to leak, and cool outside air gets into the hot cat, causing a miniature 'combustion explosion'. I'm not sure how it could tie into your chugging problem though. I know on my Rx7, I shot 4-foot flames out the tailpipes because of a broken seam on my main catalytic converter. As cool as that was, she wouldn't pass inspection like that.

Let me just put it this way ... the "new" exhaust I'm putting on after I get her inspected, is far from legal. See also: no mufflers, catalytic converters, or resonators. And, if I can get my rev-limiter to work properly now, she'll belch flames every time I kiss the limiter.
My Zed pops and sputters, but no flames as of yet. That'll be after the turbo install.
