Pics of my car

It took almost a year but she's finally running good. Thanks again to all who helped me out and guided me in the right direction. I'm sure this Z will be on the road for a long time to come. She's running as well as she looks.

Well I meant to put it in the general 280 forum instead of the performance/technical subforum. Had to have a professional fix the car, maybe I should have hired a professional to post this thread too.

It's all good. All you need to do now is swap in the T-5.

Is that an Ohio tag, if so, where you at?

Wow nice clean 280zx! And even for a 2 + 2 it looks awesome. Good job on that, and congrats on the turbo conversion. If that is what you did, going by the n/a badges on the car.

I'm in Columbus Ohio. I agree it definitely needs the manual transmission. If I keep it long term I will do it, but I already have my eye on another z that already has it.

Not sure when the turbo was put in, or what the deal is exactly, but it had the turbo when I bought it last fall. I didn't realize til I saw a pic of another one that it was the N/A model. I watched ebay for about a year and a half looking for a red 83 turbo model with a good body, finally found this one for just over 1300. I've got over 2 grand in repairs on it, but I'm ok with that number...just rather have a manual tranny and wish I would have taken it to a shop sooner rather than try to fix it on my own....or I guess I rather napa would have given me the right injectors to start with, that would have saved a bit of money with the shop throwing parts at it.

Oh well, you live and you learn. At least I'm driving it now. I've had a permanent smile on my face for the last five days.
