Double check to make sure the cap is all the way seated and the snaps that hold it on are secure, check all the plug wires and make sure they are in correct order, did you wash the engine? Double check everything you touched and if need be put it back the way it was before the tune up one piece at a time till you find the problem.

Is it a Turbo? If so, and you put a new IC (Intercooler?) Did you make sure all the clamps are tight? Cause if not, as soon as it makes boost and pressurizes it's not going anywhere fast and sounds like crap.

IC = Ignition Control module. Black box on the side of the distributor.

Hmmm maybe, I know I have added stuff to my tanks in other cars before and they sucked to drive untill I either ran it out or topped off the tank.

Also one thing you might want to look into. Try and find out if your TPS is adjusted properly. That made a big difference for me. Also did you put a new Ignition Coil in along with the new IC? Even if the timing is "correct" before the new IC, at least for me the timing had to be reset after hooking up the new IC. If you've upgraded every part of your ignition system save for your coil you might want to do that, just so you can be sure with everything there. Also check your plug wire order as was mentioned.

You probably knocked some crud loose from the gas tank and clogged up your fuel filter...

try rods idear with the fuel filter, sounds like a good one if you ran cleaning crap through your fuel system, or ran the tank empty you will suck up crud and clogged your new filter.

I know I had a similar problem...car started and idled fine but when I drove it she would only go real slow and bucked and acted a fool....I had a waded up paper towel in in front of my TB...right in the mouth of it. I would imagine anything in the air intake would cause the same problem...could have sucked a plastic bag into the air filter or maybe a bird, cat, dog, horse....

I had a similiar problem a while back. Check the screws on the Air Flow Meter because if they are loose it will not work properly. After tightning the screws the car ran great. Good Luck

I see you have one of those Honda intakes that could double as a tunnel for AmTrak.

I would check all your connections. Pull your plugs and check the color/coating on them. Have someone sit by the rear passengers wheel and feel the pump while you try to rev it (feel if it's bogigng down or dropping out). Pull the inlet line on the pump and check the little cone filter inside (yes inside) the pump inlet (sometimes it gets stuck in the fuel line). Get a cheapo fuel pressure check set. I bought one from Harbor Freight, it works great and comes with extra hose to hook it all up with. You should have between 24 (min) and 38 (max) psi. Get a vacuum gauge and check the draw at idle. Should be around 18-22Hg. Report your findings back when you get them and we'll take this further.

Talking Please Help-

I had the car towed to a zx machanic and he ran every check under the sun, and came up with it must be the distributor, so he put a rebuilt one on and that fixed the problem. It runs great, the bill was a pain in *** 527.00 for all the testing. I guess, that it is the last time he will work on my cars, about 200.00 for the distributor, and 300.00 for labor...live and learn,
Thanks guys - 14922ZX

P.S. Hell, I can trial and error until I figure it out, for that kind of money!

That's usually how it works. THe labor costs more than the parts. I never thought about the distributer. I guess if the bearing is worn bad enough in the shaft it could do that. Did you look and make sure he put a new dist in there? Some places will tell you they've replaced a part when it was really a simple fix.

Cracked the thermostat housing? What the hell did he do? ...nevermind, I probably don't want to know.
