Hey guys been a while since Ive been on here (used to be sandiego280zx but i cant figure out my old password) Anyways been working on the datsun off and on for a couple of years now, and everything is pretty much back in order except I am getting a very high idel 1.5-2k and she is running very rough. I think it may be a vacuum leak, but I have no clue if that is right or where to even begin.

 

to diagnose a vacuum leak, use brakeleen or other flammable spray, and spray the area that you think it may be leaking, around the injectors, intake mani, spots like that. if the engine speed increases that is the spot that has a leak. also if your timing is too advanced, it will cause those symptoms as well.

 

Thanks...hopefully I can track the problem down. On a side note dow anyone have a diagram of where the line go for the charcoal canister. I removed it a while back and the picture I took to remind myself of the proper connections are anything less than helpful
