If the speedo & odometer don't work... 99% sure that it's the speedo cable... get under the car & check it @ the tranny all the way up to the firewall. It can kink or get ripped pretty easy.

It's a very common problem, and it's almost always the cable like Nismo said.

You can get replacement cables from the dealer.

Rod.

From a junk yard... $5 ... From Nissan, prolly $30 - $50. But before you jump to "I need a new one!" Get under the car & check it out.

And the speedo cable is two parts. There's a lower and upper cable. The upper cable is only about 15" long and located behind the dash and is what actually connects to your speedometer. The lower cable runs from the trans to the upper cable. Be sure to check both parts. The upper cable may just be disconnected.

It's not always the cable, I had this problem, and it was the gear in the trans that drives the cable. the teeth wor down and quit turning. I took it out poped a new one in, and presto it was fixed.
