I wasn't aware there were two ground wires coming off of the starter. The starter grounds through the engine. There should be a positive cable going to the starter as well as a small Y wire which is to power on the solenoid. Thats it for the starter. You may also have a negative battery cable that runs to the starters mounting bolt, but that would be it. There are two ground wires that screw to the side of the block near the starter however. So you might check there. Otherwise, yes, we need pics.

Idk If They Are 2 Grounds Coming Off The Starter Or What, Ill Try To Get Pics Asap.

I Was Taking About The 2 Black Wires Connecting To The Starter And Then Go Inside The Car???

EDIT: I JUST CHECKED AND I FOUND THE 2 WIRES COMING OFF THE STARTER ONES A GROUND THE OTHER POWERS THE SOLENOID. THEY ARE ATTACHED I JUST NEED TO KNOW WHERE THE OTHER END OF THEM ATTACHES INSIDE THE CAR.

If you've got ground wires running from the starter into the cabin then thats the work of a PO, not Nissan. I'd be willing to bet somebody just needed to ground something and that seemed like a logical place to do it. You still probably want to find out whats grounding through those wires though. But if it's not factory then we really cant be of any help to you.

But yeah, pics first to make sure they weren't originally connected somewhere other than the starter.

Oh, and where on the starter are these wires connected? Is it the solenoid or are the going to a mounting bolt? I just jumped to the conclusion they were ground wires because they were black. But if they're running to the solenoid then they could be power wires. If they're running to the battery cable connection on the solenoid then they are constant hot wires. If they're running to the Y spade connected wire then they're only hot during cranking. If they're running to a mounting bolt then they are indeed grounds.

1 wire goes to the solenoid to power it.

the 2nd wire goes to a mounting bolt and then splits in 2 directions to other bolts not on the starter.

are the wires they meet up with inside the car the same color? where should i be looking to where they connect?

ok so ive been doing some research online and i think i need to re-phrase my question.

- the wire from the positive batt. terminal to the starter. CONNECTED

- the wire from the negative batt. terminal grounded to the starter. COONECTED

- the wire connected to the starter solenoid is connected and the other end goes throught the grommet in the firewall inside the car where its DISCONNECTED. THIS WIRE GOES SOMEHOW TO THE IGNITION SWITCH VIA THE STARTER RELAY CORRECT??? IF SO WHRE IS THIS RELAY???

- and lastely there is a wire that idk what it is but it follows the previously mentioned wire inside. it looks as if it a sensor for the oil possibly??? But i dont think i need this wire connected to start the car right??? just the wire going to the ignition switch???

i think it must of been done by the previous owner, cause mine only has one to the solenoid, there are some wires from a box next to the battery to the positive trerminal tho.

WHEN I ACCIDENTALLY PULLED IT OUT OF PLACE IT WAS GOING INSIDE THE CAR THROUGHT THE FIREWALL. DOESNT IT HAVE TO SOMEHOW REACH THE IGNITION OR STARTER RELAY??? OR DID SOMEONE HOT WIRE IT KINDA???

i'd say they hot wired it. Cause i only have the two battery wires to the starter. The other wires to the pos. battery terminal come from a little box next to the battery..don't know, nismo should be around in a few minutes, when you say his name three times, he appears its kind of cool...like the candy man or tu pac!

yeah i have that i think relay box your taking about and everything seems to be hooked up correctly in and to that. but i have another connection on the solenoid right near where the pos batt. connects to, and that connection next to the poss batt one runs a wire to the other side of the engine and throught the firewall and then im stumped as to where it goes, because it wasnt connected right last time so its just a cut wire on that end.
