swapping cams
i know this subject is probably been talked about but i hear that my 82 280zx N/A has the "good head" and the crappy dished pistons and crappy intake? am i right? either way i hear there are different cams that went in to this same motor changing them every few years and from what i have heard is that the A series camshaft is the one to get? what kind of power increase am i looking at with this camshaft? any advice is appreciated

Dunno where you "heard" all this...
I'm pretty sure they didn't use the low compression "dished" pistons for the n/a after 77 or 78... you should have flat tops. There are various cams, but the A cam change is for the turbo.
Where are you reading this info?
Search our forums and Google for the L-Series engine and cam specs. I have those links at home, but I'm at work, and you should be able to find them online in about 30 seconds.
