Question Thread size O2 sensor

Hey guys..and gals I got a question and hopefully one of you know this for sure. I need to know what the thread size insde the O2 sensor hole is. I am going to plug mine with a brass plug but I have no clue what size it is. I went to the parts store to see if they could find out but nothing came of that...the guy suggested like a 3/4" brass plumbing plug after we looked at the new O2 sensor (which I can't afford yet)...you got me. Come on, someone knows this. I also figured if we can find this out then people could plug their O2's up if they go bad till they get the new one. I can't seem to seal this leak on my own so I need the plug. Thanx all.

is it an o2 car, or did you put an o2 exhaust on a none o2 car? if the car is supose to have the o2 I think you should put one in, or els that thing is spiting gas through that system..

Yes it is a 1982 280zx N/A coupe that is all original (except trany which was replaced) and also has an O2 sensor. I removed the old one which fell apart, I tried to put the new one in but it would not thread into the opening so I took the old broken one and closed up the tip with the slits in it then filled it with Ultra Copper and put it back in the car. It keeps blowing out the Ultra copper so I want to plug it up all the way till I can get the new O2 sensor again. Although I have made up some music to go along with the ticking so I have tried to see the lighter side of that annoying sound.
