Throttle delay

I recently inherited my brother's '81 280zxt for my first car and decided to get it running like new again. While I was listening to the engine and pushing Down the throttle I realized it seems like it's slitely delayed from when I push down the throttle and when I hear the engine rev up. Any problems or just the engine being Old?

A tune up does wonders on an old / high mileage engine.

Step #1: read the spark plugs.

Haha yeah but the old man won't pay for it and I'm jobless and about to start school again.

And what do you mean by that?

How do you plan to get the car running, let alone buy gas to drive the car with no $$$ ?

How to read spark plugs:

Well step 1 complete. the spark plugs look fine. I mean I did replace those along with the injectors a couple of months ago.

Step 2: Get a job. Seriously. If you're going to have a car you need to have money....

Congrats on the car - 280ZXTs are getting hard to find...

"Fine" is so vague...

All 6 had the SAME color tip? What color were they?

Does the car blow any colored exhaust? Like blue? How's the turbo sound when it winds up?
