tranny problems
well i just replaced my alternator, and now the engine is running great, ive been completely satisfied with everything mechanical that has gone wrong because i have been able to fix it all myself, and yesterday i just bearly made it into my driveway and my clutch pedal goes completely to the floor with no pressure at all...really bummed out, i checked the fluid lever, and it was topped out, im thinking either i just need a new clutch cylinder or i just need to drain the gunky fluid out, because the fluid looked almost black...any other opinions??

it's not a "tranny problem," it's a clutch cylinder prob... yes, if the fluid is black & gunky... you SHOULD prolly bleed it you prolly have air in the line too, which will keep the petal from popping back out. Bleed the line w/ new clear brake fluid & you'll be fine.

clutch master or slave cylinder... but before you go and change them out you might want to change your hydrolic fluid and bleed your system.. if that dont work.. then id prolly replace the master cylinder first...

It's always a good idea to replace the slave and master cylinders as a pair. Even if only one is the cause of the problem.
And hell, I rebuild anything I can get the parts to rebuild it with. The only time I don't rebuild something is if I'm in an emergency. I just rebuilt my rear calipers (one was siezed but I decided to rebuild both) and now those are working great. If you can buy something rebuilt, then you can rebuild it yourself. That's of course considering that it's not worn or damaged beyond repair.

Gratsi (or whatever ). A lot of labor went into getting that body where it is and it's nowhere near finished. That was just a quick paint job cause I was moving and had to get the metal covered up . I still got plenty to do to her.
