does that air filter look too dark of a blue to anybody else? or is that what they looked like new? and if it is then im going to be majorly pissed off because I just took the time and agony to strip my air filter down to its bare metal because the previous owner painted it a bright red, and then I sprayed it bright blue, going off a sample the guy missed when he sprayed it red.

It's the normal blue, the photographer just doesn't know how to white balance his camera... or he intentionally over saturated the pics to give a "gold" look...
No the interior isn't really "puke" colored:

Anyone know what this car sold for?
And have the pics survived online anywhere?
I caught Pawn Stars last night, on which a guy tried to sell them his red/black Anniversary 280zx, and he tried to convince them that it could go for $60,000... Ha!
(My wife just sat there continually corrected them every time they pronounced it "Zee Ex"... "ZED!"...
Does anyone know if any 10th Anni ZX's have been imported to Australia?
Cheers

Just found the pics on another site...

Change the 01 through to 12 for more...
AMAZING car... So envious! Have to admit, if I'd had the cash, I'd be driving that car, not storing it...

ever see PAWN stars? ever see the 280 zx 10 AE on there.. well thats mine now.. the guy who had it felt that interior resto meant duct tape... not even on the inside of the panel where you could not see it but outside,everywhere.. after i saw this car for the first time i was dissapointed..but the body is so solid its worth it.. after i bought it i told my buddy..he laughed and said did you know there is one of these just 15 miles up the road? i searched it out and bought it too..gold/black10AE 110,000orig miles..minor work needed..i will drive it in spring...

Ahh well I guess someone had to buy it And then have a massive headache.
I'd love one, and have considered importing a 280 from the US, partly to get a natural turbo, and partly as they are so much more common over there, even with $1,000+ freight, it'd probably let me buy a great condition car much cheaper than I could find over here...
But then I've got the left - right conversion issue... as I don't think my head could get round driving the car from the wrong side...
And then of course the Anni car wasn't turbo anyway... so now I'd need an anniversary and a turbo...
Well... I do have 1 son, and another baby on the way... One each...
Do you know how much the 1/3000 car sold for? (Out of interest)

You wount like importing from the states! Lol fast food grease stains. The poor repairs useing duct tape. Plus the fact our chubby asses crushed the seat foam. Sorry addicted to "top gear" they made me feel guilty of being american. Also must say sorry for the "dodge neon" and "Pontiac sunfire" lol

You can transport a car from the US for $1000? Hmm I gotta start looking at C10 and C110's from Austrailia then ;P
You'd figure the LHD/RHD out fine. There are TONS of imported RHD here in Canada (mostly from Japan) and most of the nitwits manage to figure it out....

Here, to get a seriously good condition 280zx, you're up for well over $10,000... Easily $4-5,000 just for an average condition car that needs new paint/jolly good service/average interior... And as noted - no original turbos, no ZXRs or Anniversaries...
The LHD to RHD conversion shouldn't be too much of an issue - except for finding a good condition dash... Not sure how much you'd have to pay for it though... Fair few man hours I imagine, and I'm not sure I'd wanna give it a go myself.

I imagine with so many Z's in North America, it's not as desirable to try to hold on to them...

They crush cars like mad in comparison to Australia. I haven't seen a 280ZX or 240Z at a wreckers for 15 years. Z31 is about the oldest you ever see in Canada. My friend was complaining 15+ years ago that the 510s never went to the wrecking yards - straight to the crushers
