It's possible to get the service manual on CD if you do a search for it. It's about $70 or so, but considering you can print individual pages out, thats not bad, cause you'll always have the origional...

Just do a search for "280ZX service manual"...

PS: I'm going to get one of these myself SOON!! Definately worth the bucks!!

The CD is awesome. I have them for my '83. I suggest getting both, service and parts. It's helped me on more than one occasion.

A few years ago I was searching for a FSM for my 82. They go for big bucks on eBay. I got mine for about $80, and that's on the lower end. I've seen them go for over 100 back then. (1999)

Don't expect to get one for the price of a 79-83 Haynes manual. ($5-10) but the Haynes is a good alternative for the money. Better than Chiltons!

That's good to know, CW. I think everyone should own a set of CD's for their respective cars....

HI guys thanks for the info. And by the way, I have every Haynes and chilton already for my 2 Z's. I tried to go after the manual yesterday, but got outbid at the last minute. Thanks Carl for the info. I might get the cd-rom, and print my own book.

You might even consider an '83 FSM. I have and '83 car using an '82 manual and I haven't come across much that is different between the cars. Missing info on the digital guages, but hasn't been a problem.

Thanks guys for the input! I recently won a '82 FSM on e-bay! For $63, not a bad deal. I can't wait till it comes in this week!

You can buy a newly re-printed FSM from the source for $75 delivered.

Check out my previous response in this thread:

I use the cd-rom's for quick reference and searches but nothing beats curling up in bed with a nice original FSM...

hahaha!
Do you have a custom bed made from the front of a 280ZX? No blankets, just close the hood down on yourself.

That's hillarious Bleach! You have one sick mind LOL. And that is the truth. There is nothing like an original FSM. I just got it in the mail today. And it is in great condition!
