1983 280zx turbo problem starting and running possibly fuel

i recently put a new heater core in my car and every since it has had problems running. its like it is flooding itself trying to start and when it does start it runs fine until i change gears or stop itslike any time i let off the gas it has a problem getting back its pressure.

You disconnected something when you did the heater core. Either electrical or vacuum. Probably vacuum since you were in hte climate control system. Generally if it was working and now doesn't it is the last thing you changed.

id say vacuum as well, there is a line that runs through the firewall right near where you are working, its small, but could cause a problem

Possibly knocked loose the CHTS plug....

I agree about the possibility of disconnecting something. I had a similar problem and found the plug on the side of the engine above the starter was disconnected. Once I put it back it was running like a bat out of Hell. I recommend you check all the plugs (some look like they are connected, but may be loose.). Good luck and have a happy holidays. i agree with NismoPick... the CHTS is right next to the heater hoses on the pass side of the block and can be easly knocked loose from disconnecting the heater hoses..

hey on my p79 head, i took out the sensor cause my 79 doesnt need it, i didnt plug it cause the coolant never came out, its a blind hole! i guess its not a submerson type sensor?

what an idiot

well i honestly deserve the idiot of the year award!!!! i checked the CHTS vacuum lines and all connectors. then low and behold decided to check the spark plugs. well they were shot, bought 6 new ones changes them in 5 minutes(the beauty of an inline) and magic running like a bat out of hell again. thanks to all who gave me there feedback and opinions.
