240z Out / 280zx In
I have big plans for this car. So far I done a minor tune up; oil change using Royal Purple synthetic oil, changed the spark plugs and wires, and replaced the air filter. Next I'm gonna change the distributor cap and coil, the fuel filter, and the injectors.
On the other hand, I have a 73 240z that I was gonna restore, but it has too many repairs that an amateur such as myself just can't handle and I don't want to pay the money to have someone do it. So, if anyone out there needs some parts, I will sale what I have for a very reasonable price. The right and left front fenders / quarter panels are in very good shape. The seats are not torn, but dusty. The console and dashboard are both in good shape (no cracks). I have a new Holley carburator for the car that's still in the box. I also purchase a set of SU carburator that I never used. I have some other stuff that I can't remember. Oh, the car also has a race hood. I'll post it later with pics!

This is what's on the box of the carburetor:
450 CFM 4-BARREL MECHANICAL SECONDARY SQUARE BORE ADJUSTABLE FLOAT NO CHOKE CARBURETOR
MODEL: 0-9776 4160 SQUARE BORE 450CFM 4 BARREL
I know it worth about $200 or more, so make an offer for both.

well i knew that but i wasn't sure what you meant i thought you were talking about the effectiveness of application on my z. and i'd rather have a L28ET than a l24. hey snw would i hook up the single carb like i would the SU's

zx has such a retro robo look (stupid 80's)
and 240ZT > 280ZXT
actually, even 240Z > 280ZXT
ewwww flat top SU's (arent those the ones prone to vapor lock?) lol
and for a 4 barrel, you need the custom manifold and you will also need to run a cable for the throttle. cant use the stock setup. and since its a chokeless carb thats all you have to hook up other than a fuel line and air filter. needs tuned then as well

Snw, I had some good time in the 80's. Maybe that was a stupid time for you but great times for others. Stupid is is Stupid does!!!!!
280zx > 240z or 240z < 280zx Less feeling / Taste great

never priced em out cause i have my own pair of round top SU carbs. and they are the super desirable 3 screw. have no clue how good of runing shape they are though. seem just fine to me. but since they are a mystery condition (other than they have all the pieces and seem ok) 100 bucks takes them. i see rebuilt ones going for 500!!!! lol, i almost crapped my pants.
