280ZX in a TV commercial

I don't know if this commercial is shown around the country, or only in CA, but I just saw a 21st Century Insurance commercial featuring a 280ZX. In it, a bus is careening out of control, and it causes a parked, black 280ZX 2+2 (clean) to go flying off a ramp and lands in the street in front of its female owner. The wheels pop off as it slumps to the ground. I feel kinda bad for it, but it's still nice to see the 280ZX hasn't been forgotten.

that was from the move speed.. where keanu reeves had to keep the bus over 50mph.. they just used that scene from the movie for the comercial.. if you watch it closely they use 3 diffrent Zs.. 1 from the movie one a 2+2 thats all wrecked and a 2 seater where the wheels fall off...

Ahh, I kinda suspected that's what that was from, since I don't know of any other movie with out-of-control buses. I know 21st already used a similar commercial with footage from The French Connection.

280ZX in CSI

Last week I saw a 280ZX parked in a lot in CSI season 2 DVD... Had to rewind to make sure but you can't miss the Z shape.

oh, I was mistaken, it was a white 280Z in the beginning of "fast times...". and the car from bruce almighty actually looks like 2 Z's that were cut apart and welded together...

The one in Bruce Almighty is a 280Z 2+2. Hehe, I absolutely love the Saleen S7, so that movie featured two cars I love.

Also in "Fast times at ridgemont high"... When "brad" the stereo salesman comes to pick up Jennifer Jason Leigh (when she snuk out the window late at night), He picks her up in a brand new 280zx... Looks like it might even be a 10th anniversery car.

In the "junkman" there is a ZX that is sadly demolished by a buick or something. filmed somewhere near the place where james dean died in california. good movie though, the guy who made it also made the original "gone in 60 seconds" which has the longest chase scene i have ever seen, its like 45 mintues. awsome.

Oh yeah I think the original is better than the newer version. And that was all real police, fire and ambulance, also the people in it. I own it it rocks! Later!

Speaking of the original Gone in 60 Seconds, anyone see that partially made sequel with "The Slicer" car? I was laughing hysterically at its hijinx, especially those kids on the side of the road who yelled "Slicer!" and whooshed their hands. ^o^

I love pulling threads back from a year ago..

anyway, I just watched this movie again last night, and I was thinking about this thread. The car really is in a laughable state. but, I couldn't help but notice the rearend. doesn't look like a ZX at ALL! Maybe I just caught a bad glimpse... anyone confirm this?

also, just saw another ZX in "Friday after Next". it was a wreck! Ice Cube and De'De' were hiding behind it for a minute. it was pretty funny.

I thought the car in Bruce Almighty was a Z, not a ZX It's been awhile since I've seen that movie though, so don't quote me on that.

It is a Z. As previously posted, it's a 280Z 2+2, not a 280ZX.
