Alright I wanted to make sure, but that little thing near the AFM by the radiator on the turbo cars, I think it says Nissan VCM then something after that, is that our vacuum pump, or is it just a valve that can direct vacuum to other sources? Anyway I'm trying to figure out my issue with not getting full vacuum in that area, and I'm wondering could it be possible that this thing is leaking vacuum? Either that or it's the big hose that goes from the middle of it to the boot that comes after the AFM and leads to the turbo. I've tested the other 3 lines with no improvement. So also in the case I need a new one, does anyone have one they can spare?

 

VCM = Vacuum Control Module. It controls the EGR & AAC. That's all.

 

Checked all the lines from the VCM and it reads fine, but once I put it back into the AFM boot it stops reading correct vacuum, I guess I'm gonna have to pull the boot and go through all the lines and connections off of it.

 

280zxt have a vacuum pump on 83 and possibly 82 so you don't get warm air when on boost.

I've replaced them before with a dealer part while working at.........the dealer.
