83 280zx 5 speed gear box.(new condition)

I tore this apart and kind of left it sitting around around for a bit. I have absolutely no use for it as I don't have a Z. It's literally in never been used shape as it has never been behind an engine. A friend of mine found it sitting in the corner of a school shop that has been closed for 17 years so naturally there is very light surface rust on the gears. Being a high school used transmission there are naturally some parts missing. It needs a thrust bearing, a thrust bearing race, a retaining clip for the shaft and a few case bolts. Other than that the thing is a beauty=) I'm just seeing what you guys would offer for this? I'm not entirely sure what this is worth. I figured my best bet would be to ask you guys. What do you think?

Also to be noted if you pay for it and send me the parts or have me order them before shipping I'll be happy to put it together for you and do a quality job as well=) Otherwise you'll get the transmission shipped to you disassembled as I don't want to put it back together without the pieces it needs.
Thanks for looking. All the best Cyrus!

Forgot to take pictures of the case but I can promise you it's very pristine

Thanks for looking folks, let me know if you have any questions.

No interest whatsoever? This thing has never even been in a vehicle! Think of how nice your Z will bang through the gears with this in

I want at least a grand. Is that what it's worth? Heck no I'm thinking it's probably valued between 4-600+whatever shipping would be. As the saying goes it's worth what someone will pay. That being said we'll see if anyone throws an offer out there=)

$400-$600 for a torn apart transmission that's missing parts? When you got it for free? You said in your other thread it's a BW T5, correct? So really the only people who'd be interested in this would be someone wanting to rebuild their T5...

To be fair I'm not trying to rip anyone off. I have a nice transmission missing less than $25 worth of parts. It's not something I threw into a box and expect someone to put back together. EVERYTHING is well organized. It would take less than an hour to put it all back together. Does it matter what I got it for? I would still like to get what it's worth out of it so I can put the money into other projects. If someone wants it for parts they are more than welcome to do that. I couldn't care less where it goes.

That being said, what do you think one of these would be worth? I work on BMW's not Z's and I really don't know how the price of parts goes for these things.
