ABS on a 280zx?
hey, I was wondering what would be involved in desighning and/or installing an ABS system for a 280zx. Or if there's one out there already. Thanks.
my poor baby was crushed by a mack 600 dump truck when he cut me off and I couldn't stop fast enough......take a look if you want......

Re: ABS on a 280zx?
All the electronic ones work by sensing the speed at which all four wheels are rotating at, and realeases pressure in each line according to which wheel is locking up, so it would be more than just getting the brakes, I think the thing I said before is called "ABS Hi-Super" or high super- something like that. I thin kthat is probably your best shot, or as yo2001 said.

ABS won't make the car stop any quicker. It only prevents the wheels from locking up so that you may have steering control.
Non ABS cars usually can end up stopping quicker with proper pedal modulation.
I think, in your case, you may want to practice stopping very hard (almost to the point of impending wheel lock up) and then steering to either side. If you make this a habit then you'll be better off, IMHO.
