I was worried when you said you did your turbo swap and couldn't get it running for a couple months. My first swap was done complete in 2 weeks and got me to Canada and back.
You can get it going.

Hmmm... While we're all proud of your accomplishment, saying you made it to Canada and back from where you live is like me saying I made it to Mexico and back from my house... Hell, my Chrysler would probably even make that trip without breaking down

Rod.

P.S.

Just messin' with you man, I'm stoked for you and I hope you had a good time in the Great White North eh'

Actually, going from south of Seattle to Mission is more like LA to Mexico and back.. not north SanDiego to Mexico

I could see why anyone would want to give up if they own a Supra. Great car if you can afford the constant upkeep.

Darrell makes bank as a mechanic for an Infiniti dealership. Hes a young guy with no kids or wife. As of this past weekend it took all of 5 minutes on a clear head and fresh pair of eyes to get the motor set up. Can you believe that?! 5 minutes and the issue was solved. I went over a few weeks back with my hoist to see if i could help and the car was looking hot so no fear guys.

Obviously it was a simple electrical issue. Mis-wired somewhere?

Actually, I figure I could have bought a 350Z and had an APS Twin Turbo kit installed...

Actually, I only have 5 Z's (3 running and two 'projects'), but I do have a Durango=kid & trailer hauler, Outback=grocery getter, Ranger=parts hauler, Civic=commuter.

My sig has all the Z's I've ever owned and one that I'm looking for... I'm also looking for a '92 2+2 5-speed in good condition... No luck in the last 8 months.

I'm lucky if I can make it to the track every couple of months and with my travel schedule lately, I've only been 3 times so far this year...

But if you bought a 350Z, all you'd have to show for your 35K is a chick car with a Z badge on it...

Ouch! And now we know what Rod thinks about the Three-Fiddy-Z.

Actually, I am going to buy a 350Z, I'm still looking for the right one.

I want an early 2003 Basic model manufactured in 2002. Unfortunately, the dealers didn't order very many "Basic" packages, so not a whole lot were sold...

Once I find a good condition '92 2+2 5-speed and the 350Z I want, I'll have the following Z's in my stable:

1972 240Z Resto-Mod
1982 280ZX Turbo Crazy-Mod
1992 300ZX 2+2 Kid hauler - TT Swap
2002/3 350Z - I'll upgrade suspension/brakes & VLSD and the "Basic" model has no VDC or Traction Control so it weighs less than any of the other 350Z's.

The best sample of every decade of Z car; '72, '82, '92, '02

40 years of the Z car in one driveway!

I hear you on the base 350Z. I'd consider picking one up when they fall to 15k. That leaves extra money for all the goodies

This one is tempting though since I seem to be one of the few that like the orange seats.

I think I still prefer the base.
