air conditioning
Would i have to modify anything on my car if i removed all the air conditioning components? Change any belts or anything at all? I just want to freeing up room under the hood for future projects like intercooler piping and so on

I would leave under the dash alone. i made the mistake of takin everything out under there and i regret it. just take compressre out and follow the lines untill you hit the firewall. then stop there. You might just want to put in a/c later so havin one inch of line at the firewall won't bother you. cap them if you can too. It's really just 4 componets of the system in the bay. Compssor, Inlet line, evaporator, outlet line.the compressor has it's own belt. so just take it off when you take it off. you might as well remove the mount too. but thats up to you. and always a fun job.

I always encourage people to learn to do your own work but that one would be done by a shop with a refrigerant recovery machine, its actually illegal to evacuate your A/C (releasing your freon) into the atmosphere. Its harzardous to breathe in R134 or R12.

seeing as this was an air conditioning thread, i didnt want to start my own.
Upon cleaning my bay i realized that one of my copper tubes was cut.
Can someone take pictures of where the hose goes from the top of the radiator to the left side of the car?
Or does that simply go to the ac compressor?
Thanks!

The best D.I.Y. A/C tool is the Hatchet. 3lbs of R 12 aint no worse to the environment than what come out your tail pipe. But yes don't breath the stuff. Well if ya do just Darwin evolution at its finest.

Look in the inspection glass on the receiver drier (page 96 in your HAYNES manual). Or you can remove one of the service port caps & quickly press the check valve ( ya know... like when you check tire pressure. ).
