Well thanks for the reference Shady. i found exactly what i was looking for.

http://forum.ratsun.net/showthread.p...highlight=b210

And look is posting . . .our good feind, i mean friend, bleach.

On that note, for the time being Nissan is urging me to hold off on the swap for now and to just replace the seals on the head to fix the oil issue. Just a new head gasket, seals and tune up. Should pass smog and be a good daily? I dunno what i want to do now. Part of me says if i pul the head it should be attached to the rest of the engine and should never go back in the car. Another part tells me that if i pull the head i cant afford NOT to throw a radical cam in there and some headers and stick with the little 1.4L hamster cage. But its an auto . . .gross

Just a few pics from this afternoon. Stilling wrenching, but i thought i would ask if anyone knew of the quickest way to get the manifolds off. I seem to have found 4 of the intake manifold nuts. Similar setup to the L28 motor. Couple on top with a few that are shared by the exhaust manifold i assume? Dunno. Somewhere underneith i guess.

Aside from tryin to get the head off, i just had to do something about the ugliness . . .Not half bad right? What a difference wheels and those nasty bumpers make.

lol, yeah, get those bumper mounts off add some sort of grill and maybe an airdam and you have a pretty decent looking car there. and that rear end is narrow looking!

Sent the head out to be pressure tested and resurfaced today. Head gasket is on its way too. Should be back together in no time. That is if i keep it all stock. . .urge to modify . . . .too strong . . .must hold back . . .

I dunno. Port and polish really gunna have an effect with everything else being stock? Seems kinda dumb if im just gunna toss the motor later in favor of a KA or SR, right? Im just tryin to get it running and passed smog right now. That right apollo. Be prudent about this one. Slow and steady wins the race. . . .must resist . . . urge to modify . .the less money invested the better. Ah what am i sayin. im tryin to whup on lww's bucket. Ima need some juice. Port and polish it is. throw in a cam. Bore it out. Dual side drafts. Exhaust. Stickers up the wazoo. I should be golden

you're on the right track. Keep it stock and running smooth. You'll be getting 40mpg.

Then save yer pennies for a KA24 if you decide to even keep the Datto

I'm keeping it stock. Got a call today from the peoples takin care of the head. Its in perfect shape. Just needs a head gasket really. Keepin it simple for now. Quicky valve job, resurface the head and slap it all back together. Should have the head back for the weekend. I think the only "mods" for now will be the wheels, bumpers and grill. Maybe a BRE style "Datsun" badge with the stripes on the fenders . . .Hooray for 1.4 liter engines.

FUUUUuuuuuccckk . . . .
So the car wont be together this weekend. The head gasket is coming from the east coast, the valve cover gasket from the south, thermostat from the east . . only thing that was local is the damn thermo gasket. A lot of good that does me. Oh well. Time to clean up the engine bay and get some bumpers i guess. Throw in some new seats maybe? I do have another set identical to the seats in the Z now. Man. What a bummer. I was kean on getting this beezy running this weekend.

So after waiting for whats seems like forever, all nissan gaskets are here. Still needs to order a valve cover, thermostat and thermostat housing gasket due to the fact that Nissan no longer has any. Oh well. Aftermarket wouldnt be that bad. On top of everything Nissan let me borrow the B210 bible from their library. Score . . . .so close
