I copied & pasted "kdc-w3011" into www.google.com and in 10 seconds had a huge list of reviews on this item.

I personally don't like huge subs for 3 main reasons:
#1... it's advertising "COME BREAK INTO MY CAR AND STEAL MY GOODS!"
#2... weight = slow
#3... I'm not in high school anymore.

if your gonna get 2 12" your gonna need a box thats at least 3 cubic feet in space... and thats a HUGE box... save your money and get 1 JL 10W6 V2.. its gonna cost a lil more but it will out perform the 2 kenwood 12s your looking at..

I always liked the sound of a larger sub. I've tried 8, 10, and 12s in a 280ZX. I'd suggest a single 12 inch sub of higher quality.
A 300w quality setup is far better than those cheaper subs that boast 1000W!!!!1!!! (your 60amp alternator can't even output that much power anyway)

These are pretty efficient tubes. I'm thinking about getting one of these when it's time to get to the stereo portion of the program.

with a good amp that 12w6 will POUND!!! make sure you good crossover so you just get pure bass.. i had the 12W6 V1 (before it got stolen) and that thing use to shake the crap out of my Z... now im looking to get the 10W6 V2.. it will put out about the same as the old 12W6 V1 but witl a much smaller enclosure..

A good quality 8" or 10" single sub with an ENGINEERED enclosure and GOOD amp and cross-over will pound the hell out of a 280ZX.
I have yet to hear a decent 12"+ system in a 280ZX that didn't sound like crap.
An engineered system with high quality components will have 10 times the performance as the "alternative".

why is everybody throwing out answers when you're not even asking what the guy wants? do you SPL? SQL? how much are you wanting to spend? is room a factor? send me a message and ill be glad to help you sir.
kenwood makes a pretty solid product but there over rated a bit on the amps.
the 12"s should be a good buy, just dont over power them. i'd run them 50w RMS under what they recommend. "max power" means nothing. you always wanna go by RMS.
