Bad Ignition Ballast

So after solving my first problem of no power to the fuel pump, I went to start the car up, and couldn't get it to turn over. It would crank and pump fuel, but wouldn't catch. So I went straight to the electric parts and found that I was not getting a spark, so then I started checking all the norms. The coil is getting power, and is putting out the correct amount of OHMS, checked both primary and secondary positions when cranking and not cranking, and was getting within the range that the FSM states. This was continuing through to the dizzy cap, but still no spark. So I believe the Distributor in the car is that of a z31, i'll post a pic of what it looks like at the end here. The car is running the z31 ECU swap. On the left side of the distributor (on the fan side) there is a wire that runs to a ballast next to the coil. Well that wire wasn't getting any power at any time (cranking, not cranking, off), so I followed it back to before the ballast and found that there was power going in, but no power going out. I ran a continuity test anyway and the same result came, no power went through. So i'm thinking the Ballast is why I can't get my car to spark. but the problem is, I don't know what the specs are on the ballast. I can't find a replacement online, and I can't find any information on it in the FSM, can you guys help me out here? on the side it says 47DQ-GI6 250V .47M.

The car is a 1983 280zx Turbo with the z31 ECU swap

Thanks everyone!

the picture of the dizzy isn't of mine, but that's what it looks like. The ballast is mine.

That is not a ballast resistor, that is a condenser, or noise suppressor if you will. One end goes to the coil, the other end actually goes to the ground. It eliminates any electrical noise generated by coil, should be one by the alternator too, unless someone took it off, so you dont get that whining noise in your speakers.

^^^ What Skully said.

That's a stock 280ZXT distributor. The only change for the Z31 ecu is that you install the VG30 chopper wheel (seen in your pic).

If you aren't getting spark, check for power at the ecu. Run ecu in diagnostic mode and pull codes. Make sure coil bracket is securely grounded.

It was a bad ground, I must have bumped it when I was installing my new throttle body and sensor. Started right up...then started idling funky. So now onto the next discovered problem. Good thing this is a project car and I love z's,
thanks guys!
