Been awhile..updated pics

It's been awhile since I posted anything..(doing the married thing), so I thought I would post some updated photos of my Z. This is what it looked like last time you saw it..

And here's what she looks like today. I got some new wheels, put 82 style bumpers on, did a little paint work, and then there's the motor...

So..whatchya think?

Also thinking of painting the meshies black with the polished lip....or should I leave them gold?

Paint the meshies black.

Looks cool in its own way. I like the clean silver car though.

did you get in a wreck? why remove that bumper and paint a good hood...

Paint the wheels black to match the flat on the hood. You need to paint the rear hatch to match the hood and roof though...

No, no wreck. Honestly, the longer the bumper was on there, the more I just didn't like it. The hood had issues with the paint, and the roof needed rust repair. Actually the original plan was to two-tone the whole car, but I went with this instead. I am going to paint the wheels black when I get the chance.

Thanks guys. The reason for the trips..I scored them really cheap, and they look bitchin!!! lol. I've got a couple turbo motors, so one will make its way into the car within the next year or so and I'll probably sell the carb set up. But for now the sound is so sweet with the carbs and the 2 1/2" exhaust with a flowmaster dumping where the cat used to be. People ask if it has a v-8 all the time.

Nismo, please. I could convert that to MSnSe and make more power, reliability and driveability than triples.

However, there's a reason I have triples on my white 240z... They look and sound freakin' awesome and they're retro-cool to the extreme! As long as you're comfortable with the relatively poor fuel economy and tuning issues, they're great for the "ambiance".

If I want to go for maximum hp, I'd go with FI... Oh, wait, that's what I'm doing in my orange 240z... ITB's w/ MegaSquirt...

the example i'm thinking of is a TR6. the stock dual carb set up was about 110, triple webers bring it up to around 130 i've heard (british car owners are kinda scared of the dyno), and the english FI car with lucas FI was 150. and it got better mileage. and lucas sucks! bad! i would always choose to go FI for a performance application, unless originality and sound were playing a role. carbs are pretty fun

Like I said, I went with the triples more for looks and sound...plus they were cheap! It'll be turbo f.i. next year.

i understand completely. it's nice to have both set ups so you can experience both as you are doing.

But what about running the triples vs. the stock EFI?
