Before & After

Clean up that engine bay! 12,000 less vacuum hoses, a shiny rail and a bit of buffing and the 280zx head and manifold can actually be seen with the naked eye.

Wow, interesting...

Isn't there a sticky that shows how to remove some of these hoses?

I'd be interested in doing that once I finish fine tuning my ZX.

I think that if you use black zip ties instead of those lime green ones it would look at least 2x better.

lol

so how do you adjust your idle now?
Do you have to hold the throttle down a little until the engine warms up just to keep it running?

Looks much better though!

I like the motion blur effect that the first before picture has on it. It makes it more dramatic. But it looks cool. I'd like to do that to my turbo, so then that way it's a lot easier to redo vacuum lines, as well as find vacuum leaks, plus it just looks better.

Actually, if it wasn't for my vacuum leak, it would run fine on startup without manually gas pedalling it. I have the idle speed bumped up a bit on the TB.

Electric fan would be good indeed. Will perform that swap soon enough. And I will be using green zip ties to hold it on.
