and lets not forget reliable...when was the last time you saw a Vette with over 200K on the clock and still running it's original untouched engine???
i rest my case
Don't get me wrong though, i'm a strong supporter of the vette. Atleast in the styling department. I think its one of the best looking american cars ever designed. And that statement carries through most of the vette generations. it had some bland moments in the late 80's-early/mid 90's. But other than that the Vette is one sexy ride.

yeah you're all right there.
I guess it comes with the territory. Jap cars really are superior in all ways, I've believed that for years. When i bought this car i was deciding between this and a 89/90 Celsior from Japan. The vette ended up winning, mainly because a) it looks way hotter, b) it holds its value, and c) I've wanted one for 13 years. But the celsior is a mad looking car when VIP'd and Lexus are amazing cars, and my wife probably would've preferred the celsior
oh well might still have to get one, one day...

I have always like the Vette since I was a kid. Probably why I like Z's so much, because they ride and handle like a Vette. But yeah, I wouldn't mind a '70-'82 Vette, with the long front end. Those too me, have always been tight looking.

Datsun Z designer: Yoshihiko Matsuo with influences from Albrecht Goertz.

I'd heard the zeds also borrowed influence from the E-type Jag. so it's kind of a mix of E-type and corvette, but still quite different to either, but also similar enough to provide good competition (and also a lot cheaper!). I think i originally got into zeds because of the price, being a poor post-student i didn't have the bucks to throw at a corvette at the time. Now that i have a corvette, i still don't have any money, but that's a long story

He was then hired by Toyota and his creation was released as the 2000GT under the Toyota badge.
The 240Z was actually designed by an in-house designer, who's name I can't remember off the top of my head, under the direction of Mr. K.
Because of his previous design work for Nissan, Goertz is frequently mis-represented as the designer of the Z car. This is not the case.
