wow, that stuff cleans like a dream. I like to see im not the only perfectionist. Its those little things that i like, and admire when a car is built, even if i don't like the car. Looks like everything is slowly comming together, and really well i must say. so whats the name of your favorite stripper? (the stuff you used on your engine bay i mean) and don't say "Kandi" or "Lexi"

nice! so that's what bare metal looks like without rust... its pretty

I made a couple brackets. One for fuel injector wires, another for the stock FPR. I cleaned up the distributor, and broke a 2nd thermostat housing. Hopefully this third one doesn't have any issues. The j-pipe is on and I checked torque on all the manifold bolts. Its getting pretty close for me... installation day is coming.

Chem stripper was actually something I enjoyed when I worked @ the body shop. Beats the hell outta sanding. You gunna use Veri-Prime or some sort of e-coat before priming?

I used some sort of stripper on furniture when I worked at a furniture repair place. It would strip off the old clearcoat and stain. It was nasty stuff. It would burn your skin if you got any on you. Even if you didn't get any on your skin, you could feel the warmth of it through the thick rubber gloves we used... yikes! I hated working with it.

i hope your wearing gloves while stripping that paint, that stripper will leave a nasty little rash after a while.

I'm not going to paint my engine bay. I'm just going to wrap it in aluminum foil.

Wash That V-dub Once In A While There S/c, Your Disgracing Germanys Sheetmetal. Have You Tried Tal Strip 2 In Gel Form, It Stays Where Its Put And Requires Less Aplications And Works Way Better, Make Sure You Wash The Metal Down With Gun Wash, Then Sand Before Even Thinking About Primer, That Tal Strip Will Keep Eating The Metal Until Flushed Out With Solvent.

Here is what I am working on today.. Basically I towed the Z to my friend he then told me he cannot paint the engine bay and I had to take it back To my house and make it perfect.. (SO PISSED THAT DAY). In the mean time I slept for almost 3 days straight due to surgery all is better and I am back at it..

Painted head light holders and motor mounts

Figured I may need dowel pins hehe

Took out brake booster and master cylinder finishing up removing paint

About to remove drive shaft and exhaust (going 2.5 all the way back for hopes of more torque)

2.5" VS. 2.75" OR 3.0" exhaust...

Dude, try to get a 2.75" or even a 3" exhaust on there.

A good fabricator can pull it off and your turbo will appreciate it...

See I was thinking 3".. hmm I will cross that bridge when the motor is in.. The outlet on my T/4 is 2.5 do you know of any flanges that start 3" for the T/4?? If I am goin to do it I would like it to be the same diameter from beginning to end.
