Tamiya's had some ok pavement and carpet cars over the years, but other than the 2 original buggy's (Sand Scorcher, and the Rough Rider) that they had, and the Frog, I can't think of anything they have made that has been even mildly competitive on a off-road track once Associated hit the scene with the RC10. I honestly haven't been paying much attention to the races the last year or so, but with electrics usually Losi or Associated are occupying the top 10 or better spots when I read the results for the nationals. OFNA has always made a great car, lots of power and impressive handling. The local track here is hardly ever running races anymore, so I'm thinking about just getting a HPI Savage to mess around with on my property. I'd build a decent track if I could get enough people to show up and race, but most of the people that might be interested, and that have something worth racing live 40 or so miles away.

Mr. Hammond, i mean lww, having access to a jet doesnt supprise me. And the fact that he really didnt spare ANY expense, at all, isnt supprising either. Its really the only way to do it. Kudos my friend, kudos.

Although, I do carry an IFR rating, unfortunately, it's not on that class of aircraft and, at this time in my life, I'm not inclined to spend the time and money necessary to achieve it. I have WAY too many other expensive hobbies and merely keeping my current rating up to date is enough for me, but thanks for the offer guys!
