Bye-bye 1983 280zx!
Before:
In between:
After:
Shortly after, we cut the car into little pieces, and a guy came by in his little Datsun (I found that ironic) pickup and took the car away. I kept the VIN plate though, just incase somebody says to me, "I don't believe you ever had a Datsun 280zx Turbo," I can whip out the plate and say, "Oh yeah!"

I know the feeling as I am in the process of cutting up my 2nd 280ZX for terminal rust including the frame (rusted by the battery). The sad thing is the engine ran great & I had just spent about $450 completely having the auto trannie (including torque converter) being rebuilt. Now the trannie is in the shed & engine in the garage. However, the good news is with having 3 280zx's I am not short of spair parts. The Z I am cutting up is down to the rear part of the frame & I stood it up so I can sit on a stool then remove the rear end & cut up the last part. I plan to take what's left to a local scrap metal place. It's so sad that these beautiful cars rust out so easy.
