Catalyc converter

Would removing my catalyc converter make much of a difference on how my car runs? I'm going to make a custom dual exhaust system and I need to know if I can remove this.

Yes, There are several threads on this already but... If your car is not highly modded, it either won't help at all, or it will actually hurt performance.

Alot of the z32 guys talk of noticing a significant loss of low end torque when they remove the cats. Backpressure does serve a purpose.

I don't have any smog laws here in Nebraska. Ha ha in your face...j/k . My car isn't modded at all yet, but when I sell my 300zx I'm going to buy taylor hi po wires, Crane cams electronic ignition system and performance coil, full exhaust, and a cold air intake.
