so true... stupid 25 yr old electronics. I almost think the wiring harness could be bad. That's my last thing to change out.
Maybe if I do the Z31 ECU swap, I'll just swap in the Z31 wiring harness too. I think that is one method of the swap, correct?

Ok, so I OHMed my Turbo Z and I was getting a reading of 1.9 from the CHTS. The garage door had been open for a few hours, but it felt slightly warmer in the garage and I was getting a reading of 2.1 OHMs. I'm thinking maybe the CHTS is just off by a little on the turbo. It's really hard to figure out. I was thinking I should get an A/F gauge like Nismopick has said, but then it occured to me that if the O2 sensor doesn't work until a certain temperature that the A/F gauge would be of no use to me because generally by the time the O2 would be working the car's running fine.

With some time and a little elbow grease, you could do it. If you're careful, you could re-use the connectors as well.
How much time do you have...?

Yeah I found this out after I drained the coolant from my 2+2. Another thing that goes to show this Haynes guide isn't exactly accurate. It's too bad they didn't wait until 1983. In the Haynes guide they give info to remove Water/Cylinder Head Temp Sensors. It says you need to drain coolant. I noticed the CHTS that came from my 2+2 was not wet at all, and I didn't have containers so I could drain the coolant and reuse it from my Turbo Z. So I started undoing the Turbo Z's CHTS to find no coolant came out. Then I realized Haynes was again not to helpful when it comes to the 82-83 Zs.

boost leak at the base of the injectors. I changed to a different style of injector holder. All fixed.
I changed the fuel pump in my car without draining the tank. The main fuel feed line poured out fuel for that brief moment when I moved it from one pump to the next.
