500 dollars, patience, research, and electrical skills. i did it, love it, when the wiring behaves. lately, it behaves. you need a turbo EFI harness, turbo dizzy and oil pump shaft, and turbo ECU, turbo exhaust manifold, turbo, turbo downpipe, custom exhaust, turbo AFM, turbo injectors and fuel rail. thats all i can think of right now......

how did you get all that for $500? that's crazy. the turbo alone could cost more than that! if you didn't actually mean 5000, then that's major inscentive for me to get the 280 that i was looking at before i got my 300. parts are too expensive for me on the 300.

well, mine if you wanna get technical, i did it for free. and 500 was an overstatement. my i got everything but the ECU and harness for 250 shipped. then another 100 shipped for the other stuff and converted my NA motor to a turbo motor.

where the hell would you get that new? no not new, low mileage, exhaust is obviously new though since you have to get it custom made. that was another 150 dollars

Dude why would you want a 280? When you can own a "legandry" beast. You know the Z31, it will own all the Z's. Do your research man. School is in session. lol

i have a Z32, and it obviously beats the z31. 220 compared to 160 or something. even the turbo z31 has less horse power then the N/A z32. do YOUR homework! i do like the z32 the best, but parts are too expensive. i spent all my money on it, and borrowed 3000. and i don't have a steady income. just a steady out go. selling it to get a 280 would put me back in the + numbers

Hey man, chill. I was just playing with you. I just got done reading the funny *** threads that talked about the legandry beast. So I needed a few laughs. I agree the Z32 does beat the Z31. If you knew me long enough. You would know I was joking around.

It's cool bro'. Don't sweat it. And I agree that the 280 is a great and reliable car. That is easy on the wallet, compared to other types of Z's. Nobody get offended. Just stating my facts on it. And from only owning 280zx's for Z cars. But will eventually have an S30. Good luck man, make sure the money is good though. It would suck, if it wasn't real.

Why would you NOT want to use a turbo harness for a turbo conversion? You make it sound like it's not important. Those of us who HAVE done a turbo swap HAVE dealt w/ these problems. We're not giving the "get the turbo parts" advice for kicks n giggles.
