Yeah as it says, I recently took a couple pics of my Z at work. (my '82 t-top) And I screwed around with the lighting, and made it darker. If you look you can see my clear lenses, with the blue bulbs. I was actually pleased at how well, it turned out in the pics. Though I had to mess around with the settings on my camera. It kind of looks like a painting or something like that. Anyway enjoy, and feel free to comment.

 

Ahh!! I tried to clean my glasses three times before I realized the photo's were out of focus!

Thanks guys, but the look was my intention. I wanted it to look sort of like a painting. And it was the only way to bring out my blue lights.

And I was screwing around, and decided to do something different. By taking pics of my Z in another form. hehe

 

howd ya get the side lights to be blue, they look to be stock covers, or stock appearing.

 

They are clear lenses, I got on ebay, and i covered the bulbs in blue. I also got the clear turn signal lenses, and got blue covers for them. It is going with my blue theme of my Bluestreak for later on.

 

Clear lenses from Klearz?

 

They were made there, but had small defects. Which I couldn't find any, when I received them. I got them from a seller on ebay, that gets the ones, that don't pass the 1st inspection. But there is nothing wrong with them, as I can see. And I would like to get the rear clear signals, from Klearz.com. Only like $100 for the pair. I will be looking into it, maybe soon.

All aside, I still need to know if the Z31 hatch struts will work on my Z. Because of my rear spoiler not staying up. Thanks, and appreciate it much.

 

You want the Z32 rear hatch struts, not the Z31. The Z32 struts are WAY stronger than the 280ZX or even the Z31 struts. All you have to do is flip them over. If you've ever picked up a Z32 hatch by itself, you'd know what I'm talkin' about! Anyway, that is a cheap and easy swap. Find a Z32 in the JY and pull the hatch struts off. Even if they won't hold the Z32 hatch up anymore, they'll probably still hold the 280ZX hatch for a few more YEARS!
