Cruise Control Removal Question
whats up guys,
I was thinking about take the Cruise Contorl out of my 82' 280zx.
I have a couple questions about taking the stuff out. Can I take the entire system out without effecting the ECU? I already taken out the actuator but when I started to take out the pump and switch I noticed a small tube coming from the tank into the fire wall. Any idea as to what it leads to? Also looking at the mandifold I was planing to plug the holes of the vacume tube leading from the mandifold to the tank, but I noticed that if i remove one of the plugs I would be removing another tube not connected to the CC.
That UFO looking thing is what where the vacum tube feeds from the mandifold to the tank. My finger is pointing to the other larger tube that is connected to the same thing. Now can I just remove the same vacume tube and JB weld the small opening?
Any help would be appriciated.

Allen

Removing the system will have no affect on the ECU. THe vacuum line leading into the firewall is what the climate control system works off of. All of the vents and doors in the a/c heating use vacuum to work.
